EMOTIONAL SPHERE OF CONCEPTS: EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS IN ETYMOLOGY

Abstract: 
The article under review offers results of the etymological analysis of the words designating basic emotions in the German language. According to the author, a complete analysis of the sphere of concepts relating to the language in its diachronic functioning requires the method of etymological analysis which allows to trace the semantic development of such concepts.
