Abstract:
The article considers the notions of «cognition» and «understanding» in everyday speech and in the philosophy of language. The modules of understanding are built and hypothetical interpretations of the perceived speech are verified from the cognitive point of view. Correlations between the model world and reality, and the «tone» of perception and understanding of speech are discussed.
