Abstract:
In Russian linguistics there is an opinion that while social dialects differ from the literary standard in their lexical and word-formation systems, they don't have their own specific nature in the field of morphology. That's why almost all the works devoted to the study of Russian argot are devoted to the research of lexical, phraseological and word-formation peculiarities of this social dialect. Concerning morphological features there are only few remarks on them in the scientific literature, whe-reas the system of argot has a number of interesting morphological peculiarities distinguishing it from a formal language, but they are studied insufficiently at present. Their further study can broaden our knowledge about the national language, in particular about its grammatical system.
