Abstract:
The article has as its main subject the cultural concept 'translation' in classical retrospective dis-course. The results of the categorization and conceptualization of translation are analysed separately: Greek antiquity followed by Roman. In the final analysis the fact of migrating of the cultural concept «translation», which goes back to the pre-classical period, is established and its adaptation to the new conditions of its existence is shown.
