CONCEPTS ‘WINTER’ AND ‘SPRING’ IN NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS OF RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH NATIVE SPEAKERS

Abstract: 
The article deals with the stratification of the concepts 'winter' and 'spring' in Russian and English national consciousness. The author singles out etymological, imaginative, conceptual, associative and evaluative layers of the concepts. National-cultural specificity is revealed in each layer of the concepts; it is especially markedly expressed in associative and evaluative components.
