Abstract:
Ecological aspects of linguistic environment and the manipulation of public conscience as a result of femlinguistic criticism of the English language are discussed. An analysis of the use of epicene he (in comparison with she, they, it) against the background of its feminist interpretation is offered, revealing the true objectives of criticisms against «language sexism» and their social importance.
