Abstract:
The prevailing attitude in cognitive linguistics is that any structure is the result (or realization) of a previously formed concept. In this respect adjectives are mostly regarded as polysemantic and func-tionally adequate words in different syntactic positions. There are cases still, when their combinability is limited, or they are inadequate in some functions.
