Abstract:
Linguistic representation of knowledge is a longstanding focus of discussion. The view over this problem presented in the article bases on differentiation of three types of prototypes: a prototype of a natural category, a prototype of a linguistic category and a prototype of linguistic representation. The author offers a new typology of linguistic representation prototypes with reference to types of knowledge. Special attention is given to types of linguistic knowledge and its representation by the categories of language.
