ON MENTAL REPRESENTATIONS

Abstract: 
The article analyses the different views about the concept of «representation» and covers the problem of differentiating between mental representations and verbal representations. The goal of lin-guistic analysis must become not only the verbal, but also mental representation, for the latter type suggests both the knowledge of language and knowledge of the real world.
