THE CONCEPT ‘DESIRE’ VIEWED AS A LINGUOPHILOSOPHICAL CATEGORY

Abstract: 
The category of optativity is one of the major categories in categorial space of the language. Its cognitive foundation is the concept 'desire'. This concept is included in the sphere of a person's inner world. The main goal of the report is the description of typological features and basic ways of treating 'desire' in classic and modern philosophy.
