REGIONAL VARIANTS OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE: STATUS AND PERSPECTIVES OF INVESTIGATION

Abstract: 
Français régional system status is considered in the given paper. The history of the problem is represented. There is provided a comparison between français régional, professional argots, slang, language standards and norm etc. Basing on experienced researchers' opinions and our own scientific studies we attempt to determine the notion of français régional. The problem and perspective of our re-search are outlined.
