COGNITIVE BASES OF FORMATION OF NONCE MEANINGS OF N+N COMPOUNDS

Abstract: 
The article deals with the problem of development of polysemy of compound nouns. The forma-tion of nonce meanings of N+N compounds, which have already had direct meanings, is realized with the help of such cognitive operations as conceptual metaphor and conceptual integration.
