Abstract:
The article focuses on the results of a scientific investigation concerning the cognitive approach to the technical translation. In the context of cognitive model of translation we consider the possibility to bring out the essence of the translator's activity, based on the idea of particular knowledge structuring in the form of frames of different types: situational, classifying, static and dynamic. Various mental activities occurring in the mind of the technical translator are represented by showing the ways of frame operating schemes on each stage of the technical translation process.
