Abstract:
The category of aspectuality belongs to the categories which have attracted linguists' attention for centuries. The volume of the category of aspectuality and the reseach methods have changed time and again in the XX-th century. In the 1920's alongside with the semasiological approach there appeared the onomasiological approach. In the 1970-80's this approach found its realisation in two theories in Russia: the theory of conceptual category and the theory of nominalization. These theories have been used in researching the category of aspectuality. From the 1990's linguists became interested in the cognitive-discourse analysis, on the basis of which the author conducted the research.
