Abstract
The article analyses situations of having a meal from the angle of juxtaposition as exemplified by M. Bulgakov in his works and their translations into French. The bicultural teaching of transla-tion/interpretation is related to the internalisation of bilingual/bicultural knowledge in the learner's cognitive system, ensuring reception, comprehension and insight into different substantive realities
in L1 and L2.
