Abstract:
The concept «love» is analysed on the basis of the novel «War and Peace» written by L.N. Tolstoy. This concept is represented in the text by oppositions «love – poverty», «love – sacrifice», «love – duty» etc., by different lexico-semantic, lexico-thematic, associative groups, such keywords as smile, glance, muddle, sacrifice, word etc., which reflect the Russian man's mentality and determine a fragment of linguistic world picture.
