LEXICO-GRAMMATICAL CLASSES OF THE NOUNS AS A MEANS OF COGNITIVE CATEGORIZATION

Abstract: 
Cognitive look at the nature of concrete, material, collective and abstract nouns allows to reveal the signs of central (the prototypical) representatives of each of these lexico-grammatical classes and their role in the process of the categorization of the subject world. The grammatical features of func-tioning of the nouns, referring to different lexico-grammatical classes, can also be explained from cogni-tive standpoint.
