Abstract:
The article studies the conceptual structure of the concept FRONTIER in the novel of an Ameri-can writer I. Stone "The President's Lady" with the help of a cognitive-matrix analysis. The components of the cognitive-matrix as a unit of multi-aspectual cognition are considered to be cognitive
contexts. They are represented in the text of the novel by topical words, lexical and syntactical stylistic devices.
