INSTRUMENTS OF SPEECH MANIPULATION IN THE POLITICAL MEDIA-DISCOURSE

Abstract: 
The range of manipulative means on the linguistic level is described in this article on the example of political texts in the American press. The manipulative linguistic means are analysed on the phono-graphic, grammatical, lexical and lexico-pragmatic levels. The knowledge of the linguistic manipulation mechanisms can help to resist psycho-technical effect of manipulation.
