Abstract:
The article describes the most frequent modes of representation of knowledge about the sun by language models of existence, motion, movement, properties, qualities, actions, influence, etc in the Russian language. These models are motivated by ontological and epistemological factors, they are con-cretising modern meanings of the word «sun», they also represent different teomorfic, anthropomorphic, zoomorphic, material and symbolic interpretations of the essence of the sun realized in speech with varying degrees of completeness and regularity.
