Abstract:
The article analyses contemporary researches of connotation and connotation-stipulated pheno-mena from the positions of cognitive linguistics, determines the narrowness of system-centered approach to researching connotation and grounds the vitality of polyparadigm approach to researching connotative aspects of human language. The author underlines the interconnection and interdependence of cognition and connotation and identifies the cognitive nature of connotation-stipulated linguistic phenomena.
