Abstract:
The author analyzes the concept of boundaries in the educational discourse (at the transition from American high school discourse to postsecondary discourse varieties). The use of discursive features marks sociocognitive development of the institutional discourse. The author establishes differential parameters for a major variant of institutional discourse and contributes to the building of a descriptive model for the discourse.
