ABOUT THE COGNITIVE ONOMASIOLOGICAL APPROACH TO WORD-BUILDING (оn the material of the German language)

Abstract: 
The article deals with the theoretical conceptions of linguists in the problems of word building viewed from the cognitive point. Derivatives are described as binary structures that consist of an onomasiological base and an onomasiological mark. Word- building meanings are based on the onomasiological categories concretizing the latter.
