Abstract:
The range of manipulative means using numerical information is described in this article on the example of popular advertising slogans. The manipulative linguistic means are arranged in three groups depending on the degree of distortion of information. The knowledge of the manipulation mechanisms can help to resist psycho-technical effect of manipulation.
