Abstract: 
The article describes the results of experimental study aimed at investigating the content of the concept TOLERANCE by native speakers of Russian and Spanish. Ethnic-cultural specifics of each layer of the concept tolerance were analyzed; particular attention is drawn to association and evaluation components; connection with anthropocentric component and encyclopedic knowledge of Russian and Spanish experiment participants was investigated as well.
