Abstract:
The article investigates the peculiarities of conceptualization of space in word combinations which denote different spatial objects in the texts of English and Scottish popular ballads. The theory of topological type according to which every spatial object is conceptualized as a simple topological form – point, line, plane or container, is the basis of our study.
