SPECIFICITY AND THE MAIN PRINCIPLE OF SOCIOCULTURAL COMPONENT OF DISCOURSE

The article discusses the problem of sociocultural specificity of discourse activity by speakers of Russian and English. It is argued that sociocultural specificity is realized in context as а cognitive and communicative phenomenon and contextualized by discourse styles and practices
