Abstract:
The article deals with the cognitive aspects of gender constructing. The process of gender con-structing is defined as an implicit cognitive activity at the basis of which there lies the principle of cor-relation between linguistic forms and ideas about gender. The main cognitive mechanisms of gender constructing are analysed.
