ON INTERPRETING LINGUO-COGNITIVE STRUCTURES IN FICTION: MYTH AND SYMBOL IN «THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA» BY C.S. LEWIS

Abstract: 
The article is focused on the problem of cognitive schemes of interpreting myth and symbol in fiction. Here we analyze symbol and myth as complex cognitive structures and describe cognitive mechanisms of inclusion, co-extension and prototypicality, making relevant mythological allusions to «The Chronicles of Narnia» by C.S. Lewis.
