VERBALIZATION OF COGNITIVE INFORMATIONAL MODEL «CHINA’S ECONOMIC EXPANSION» IN THE U.S. MASS MEDIA DISCOURSE

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the research of cognitive models produced by media. The aim is to study the verbalization of the informational model titled «CHINA’S ECONOMIC EXPANSION» produced by the U.S. mass media. The author offers the analysis of metaphorical epithets, a number of synonymous and expressive lexemes playing a special role in the stable semantic representation of China which becomes a stereotype.
