The article deals with cognitive specifics of taste concepts. Taste perceptions and certain gustation types form a sense bearing component reflecting the national identity of linguistic conceptualization. Cognitive representation of tastes refers to value oriented components of a conceptual world model and is built on the basis of axiological principle “good” – “bad”, or to be more precise, “pleasant” – “unpleasant”. Certain taste concepts are in various meaningful and logical relations within the conceptual area.
