Abstract
The article aims at representing the concept THE SEA in N. Rubtsov's poetic picture of the world.
The objective of this research is identification of representing the concept the SEA and defining the structures of knowledge standing behind it, in N. Rubtsov's fictional world view. Research method is a cognitive explication of the author's component of a concept in an art discourse.
Results of the analysis allow to claim that the author's component of the concept the SEA in
N. Rubtsov's poetry in many respects correlates with a common cultural component of this concept in the context of the Russian mentality. For example, in the poet's fictional world view this concept is codified in unity of several figurative paradigms built in gradatoin: natural, existential (energy), aesthetic (beauty), pragmatical (fleet), axiological (friendship, memory), philosophical (life, death).
Therefore, according to the allocated figurative paradigms it is possible to build concept structure the SEA by means of conceptual, functional, associative, figurative, aesthetic, valuable and symbolical levels.
Thus, in N. Rubtsov's poetry the concept the SEA has an ambivalent nature and is expressed by means of the lexemes possessing semantics of creation and destruction. This conclusion became possible thanks to exploring aesthetically significant author's component of the concept the SEA. It supplies cognitive space of this concept with new images, connotations, conceptual signs, presupposition, propositions and valuable installations.

Keywords:  concept, conceptualization, inner form, cognitive metaphor, the author's component, sea, discourse
