CONCEPT OF THE AUTHOR AND ITS VALUE IN THE TEXT

Abstract: 

The objects of the research in the present article are the linguistic categories of text, such as the author, the image of the author and the narrator, which represent the peculiarities of the narrative text as a form of human activity. 
The aim of the article “Concept of the author and its value in the text” is to identify the stylistic features of the narration expressing the author’s ideas in modern linguistics. The analysis is performed on the basis of the theory of narrative, which allows to study the function of these categories: author, narrator and character of the author. 
As a result, we conclude that these categories are often used interchangeably in linguistics. We believe that the reason for such perception might be the fact the reader understands the writer and the author as one and the same personality. Meanwhile the image of the author is a mental construct that the reader creates in the process of reading a narrative text. 
In conclusion, the author of the article notes that understanding the meaning of the inner speech is the basis for the interpretation of the context and specificity of the narrative text organization.
