AXIOLOGICAL APPROACH TO THE LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF D. YEMETS’S FICTION STORY “THE END OF THE WORLD”

Abstract:  The essay deals with the linguistic analysis of a fiction story of Dmitri Yemets “THE END OF THE WORLD”. The axiological approach to the study of the text is predominant. Using the means of axiological approach helps the valuable and semantic matrix of the art text come to light. The text study aims at discovering existing in the language specificity of the writer’s intentions which the reader/researcher does in the process of decoding linguistic units functioning at different levels. Special attention is paid to the language game as a dominant feature of the writer’s idiostyle. The text of Dmitri Yemets is a warning sign, where the destruction of the world and the destruction of the family come together as an identical aspect, the thought of losing values in the modern world being implicitly expressed. It is the author’s desire to preserve the traditional hierarchy of the values which makes his work both universal and appealing to a wide range of readers. The results can be used for a research in text linguistics, for the axiological studies which will help to identify etnosemiometric valuable meanings.
