Abstract:  The article describes the internal structure and the syntagmatic organization of a polilogue that is an educational text regarded as a pedagogical discourse entity. The pedagogical discourse is considered as a complex dynamic system. The author applies the linguo-synergetic approach to the analysis of the pedagogical discourse and the educational text. While analyzing the material/text the author refers to symmetry principlеs, the metro-rhythmic pattern and the syntagmatic analysis. The researcher comes to the conclusion that the internal text structure can integrate and operate the learner’s perception and speech act. The researcher conducts the experiment among the students that learn English as the second language and finds out the dynamics of rhythm manifest in the composition of the text where the dominant sense is framed with lexical and lexico-syntactic repetitions. The structure of the educational text is similar to the structure of the non-linear mode of syntagmatic organization. The internal structure and the syntagmatic organization of the educational text are self-similar. Self-similarity assists the learner in revealing the dominant sense, memorizing and reproducing the educational text. The results of the research are applicable to the educational text optimization and may be used in psycholinguistics and pedagogical studies.

Keywords:  pedagogical discourse, educational text, syntagm, structural element, dominant sense, self-similarity
