Abstract:  The article tackles the interaction of concepts that belong to different ontologies: ontology of the world, ontology of the human consciousness and ontology of the language in the poetic discourse.
We claim that the basic mental unit in cognitive studies of the poetic text is the poetic concept, which is the result of conceptual interaction, conceptual integration and conceptual derivation of the objects belonging to the above mentioned ontologies. The investigation is aimed at proving the interaction between concrete and abstract objects as a projection of cognitive models in different varieties.
As a result of methodology of linguostylistic and linguocognitive analyses of “The Poem of the Mountain” by M. Tzvetaeva we single out the main interconceptual cognitive models. They are: ‘concrete – abstract’, the main metaphorical model « mountain - grief» comprising the whole poem with the key words: mountain (32 usages) and ‘grief’ (21 usages). Semantic multimodality is based upon the conceptual integration and conceptual derivation realized with the help of phonosemantics, parallelism, allusion and personification of the mountain, treated as a human being in love and grief. The second model ‘abstract – concrete’ presents the variety of metaphorical, metonymical and symbolic shifts, similes and biblical allusions. The third model ‘abstract – abstract’ is less frequently used and then developed into the fourth model ‘concrete – concrete’. The metaphorical model ‘soul – grief’ is gradually transformed into a number of metonymical allusive models. These cognitive models comprise the whole cluster of metaphorical and metonymical images of ‘the mountain’, becoming the symbol of grief and greatness of human passions opposed to primitive everyday family happiness.
Conclusion. The mental world of the poetic discourse is the result of conceptual interaction of thoughts, emotions and individual spiritual values.
