THE PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE PERSONALITY OF A FUTURE ENGINEER: THEORETICAL ASPECT

Abstract:  The article deals with the comprehensive researchof the professional language personality of a future engineer. The author presents the attempt to describe the language personality of a future engineer on the basis of the three-level analysis of its professional speech, professional worldview, professional motivation and intention. The given description model developed in the framework of cognitive terminology canserve as a basis for the next following practical research.
The peculiarity of the analysis of the professional language personality of a future engineer is to apply an interdisciplinary approach: the correlation of linguistics with psycho- and sociolinguistics.
The results of this analysis will enable to describe the studied professional language personality most accurately and fully. With regard to our research, the comprehensive description aimed to reconstruct the forming components of the professional language personality of a future engineer will allow to correlate the ethnocultural, socio-age and individual aspects of the content of a person. In addition, the knowledge about specific characteristics of the language personality of a future engineer will be instrumental to develop its language, speech, social, cultural and professional competences. This will result in the formation of an effective professional language personality.
