CONCEPTS WORK AND LAZINESS IN THE ARCHI LANGUAGE WORLDVIEW

Abstract:  The article looks at the paremiologic language units as means of structuring the updated concepts WORK and LAZINESS on the material of the Archi language. The relevance of the research subject-matter is explained by the fact that neither in linguistic nor in linguoculturologic aspects the Archi paremiologic units are studied sufficiently. Meanwhile the research of the Archi language worldview features and the analysis of its fragments staticized by means of paremiological units has special value as paremias are a source of not actually linguistic, but also of ethnocultural information connected with features of national mentality, with nature of figurative, emotional and intellectual development of the surrounding reality and the place of the person in this reality of native speakers.

The authors pay attention to the key (nuclear) lexical and morphological components forming paremiological images, to the features of usual and contextual antonyms used and the role of lexical structure and language symbolics (codes and symbols of culture to which the characterized paremiological images correspond). They also define the connotive opportunities of the paremiologic units in staticizing the concepts WORK and LAZINESS and the role of morpho-syntactic means in organizing the paremias. The valuation potential of the units investigated is characterized thereof.

The language symbolics and connotive opportunities of the paremiological images in question testify to their evaluative role in structuring the concepts WORK and LAZINESS in the Archi language.
