THE CONCEPT POWER IN GERMAN MODAL VERBS

Abstract
The research is aimed at the cognitive aspect of modal verbs in the German language and reflects the statements and reasonings that have already been proposed by the author earlier. The article reflects contemporary approach to studies of grammatic phenomena and conceptualization of grammar. The article describes the modular principle of the shift of concrete reasoning experience of a man onto some abstract grammatic notions. It also describes the mental basis of modal verbs and its structure. The identification of some precedent grammatic meanings as a linguistic object and their roles in mental representations of modal verbs is considered in detail.
