Abstract:
This paper reviews a number of studies of conceptual metaphor in political discourse introduced in European and American linguistics within 2000-2004. A variety of scholarly approaches to a complex phenomenon of metaphorical reasoning in politics is illustrated and the basic lines of research into political metaphor are delineated.
