Abstract: 
The article deals with the necessity of analyzing the process of phraseological transformation of morphemic word structure at three levels: those of lexical meaning, of a word formation model, of an inner word form. The object of research is the process of phraseological transformation at the level of a word formation model. The mechanism of phraseological transformation is described, both linguistic and non-linguistic factors are highlightened.
