THE COGNITIVE STRATEGIES OF VERBAL SEMANTIC DERIVATION (ON THE MATERIAL OF VERBS OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY AND RELATIONS)

Abstract: 
The article is concerned with the cognitive mechanisms of verbal semantic derivation. Semantic core of polysemantic verb is created with cognitive scenario as a conceptual model of verbal meaning. The cognitive strategies described in the article determine the appearance of new verbal meanings.
