IS THERE ANY REGULAR CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE LEXICAL MEANING OF A VERB AND ITS GRAMMATICAL PARADIGM?

IS THERE ANY REGULAR CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE LEXICAL MEANING OF A VERB AND ITS GRAMMATICAL PARADIGM?

Author:  N.A. Kobrina

Abstract
Not all the types of verbs have a full paradigm of verbal categories. Some classes and subclasses (for instance those expressing relation, attitude) are not functionally adequate to be used in forms im-plying action in progress, action implying a result. Some of them are not used in the Passive voice and in the Imperative mood.
