‘COLD’ AND ‘WARM’ WORLD MODELS: TERMINOLOGY AND ONTOLOGY

Abstract
The issue of the correspondence between the typology principles, structure and essence of a sci-entific and non-scientific world models and terms 'cold' and 'warm' naming them are considered. The task is solved by way of linguistic-cognitive analysis of modern English idioms. Source domains to cor-relate with target domains COLD and WARM are singled out; their semantic connection with scientific and non-scientific world models ontology is featured.
