TYPICAL AND INDIVIDUAL PECULIARITIES IN COGNITIVE STYLE OF BLOGGER AS AN INFORMATIONAL AND MEDIA LANGUAGE PERSONALITY

Abstract:  The article points to detection of some typical and individual peculiarities of blogger’s cognitive activity as an informational and media language personality. The analysis views, according to the
author’s conception, different aspects of cognitive style such as mental and psychological, thesaurus, intellectual, epistemic substyles.
Discursive and comparative analysis allowed to reveal common features in accordance with emotional and intellectual motivation on the level of mental and psychological peculiarities: tendency of emotion and response appeal; getting profits, self-advertising, entertainment, own point of view reflection, making a contact. On the thesaurus level bloggers have common features such as universal and network parts of concept sphere (culture of media technologies possession, concepts that are topical for network communication). In the intellectual sphere needs of explaining something, reflection and demonstration are typical for bloggers. Typical epistemic peculiarities of bloggers reflect different variants of their relationship with reality: with the help of object and practical experience, theory and logic or figurative sense of reality, that correspond to empiric substyle, which is rationalistic and metaphoric.

Individual mental and psychological peculiarities of bloggers are the following: temperament, which is expressed with linguistic and non linguistic means, some character features, dominant type of perception; thesaurus peculiarities include thematic preferences, scale of reality knowledge, originality of associative activity; intellectual peculiarities are reflected in the intellectual scale, professional competences, aims and interests; in accordance with epistemic level, specificity is connected with character of cognitive activity and relation to different ways of problems solution, it is reflected in belonging to rationalistic, metaphoric and empiric substyles of language personality, each of them having its own language markers.
