Abstract:
The paper studies three levels of the evaluation categorization of a person's intellectual abilities in English. The structure of a person's intellect is described from the points of view of scientific and everyday knowledge. Prototypical and non-prototypical means of evaluation categorization in this do-main are studied. Cognitive and linguistic mechanisms of evaluation sense formation are investigated.
