Abstract:
This article is about lexical meaning of the verb, which is regarded in the aspect of traditional and modern scientific trends. It also considers the possibility of using the theory of prototype in the study of verbal meaning and semantic structure of polysemantic verbs. Cognitive scenario as conceptual model of verbal meaning is a semantic core of any polysemantic verb.
