INTERDISCURSIVITY AND INTERTEXTUALITY OBJECTIFICATION IN TRADITIONAL VS DIGITAL TEXT

Abstract:  The article is devoted to the study of the problem of interdiscursivity and intertextuality objectification in traditional and digital types of text. A digital text is regarded as a set of digitized linguistic signs derived from databases formed in virtual space, previously created by humans and subsequently introduced into the information system where they were transformed and structured with specialized algorithms. The author uses methods of contextual, definitional, semantic and cognitive analysis in order to determine the nature of these categories objectification in the mentioned types of text. The study shows that objectification of these categories is similar, but the difference is in their manifestation and is due to the technical features of their implementation. Interdiscursivity and intertextuality objectification in a digital text is mediated by hypertextuality, a specific category of digital text that ensures the interconnection between information blocks.
The analysis suggests that these categories not only underlie the formation of meaning in both types of text, but also actively perform an epistemological and educational function. They contribute to the new knowledge acquisition due to various meanings convergence, act as both traditional and digital text media construct, representing powerful cognitive and communicative potential.
